Use drag and drop in PanicVault for Mac to move entries into groups and restructure your group hierarchy in the sidebar.

On this page

On Mac, PanicVault supports drag and drop for quick reorganization of both entries and groups. It is the fastest way to file an entry away or rearrange your folder structure without opening any menus.

Dragging Entries

  • Drag an entry from the entry list onto any group in the sidebar to move it
  • To move multiple entries at once, first select them (hold Cmd and click — see Bulk Operations), then drag the selection onto the target group

Dragging Groups

  • Drag a group in the sidebar onto another group to make it a subgroup
  • Drag a group onto the GROUPS header at the top of the sidebar to move it back to the root level
  • Drag and drop is the quickest way to restructure your group hierarchy

For the menu-based alternatives to these actions, see Groups & Folders.
